Sanctuary Records Group Ltd. was acquired by Vivendi SA (owner of the companies that formed part of the Universal Music Group) on 22 October in 2007, including its various immediate subsidiary companies behind the Sanctuary Records labels, including Trojan Records and its dormant companies behind its vast back catalogues of defunct labels; including Bronze, Creole, Immediate, Jet, Transatlantic, Trojan, Sugar Hill, Pye and Solar.

In February 2013 BMG Rights Management (UK) Limited acquired Sanctuary Records Group Ltd. from Vivendi.

The Company is the immediate parent (holding) company of - Creole Records Ltd., Men From The North Ltd., Trojan Recordings Ltd., Sanсtuary Copyrights Ltd.
Formerly an immediate parent of Sanctuary Visual Entertainment Ltd. (dissolved 5 July 2016).
