Perhaps it's just my imagination and reading into things a bit too much or noticing sounds and melodies which aren't there. But I hear mild similarities with Hand Over Hand and Kenny Larkin's Northern Lights on Pod - The Vanguard EP. Of course, the latter has more of an electro, pronounced TR-808 type groove and leans more into ambience than the former's more loping drums. I wonder if there were any conscious influences there. And since Hand Over Hand is supposedly previously unreleased, how far back in time was it produced? Pre 1990s? Pre Vanguard EP? Post Vanguard EP? Around the same time as Strings or something much more recent than all mentioned? -

Already have all the tracks except "Hand Over Hand" on multiple different vinyl pressings but this Mayday / Transmat fanboy can't resist another copy...
