"Northern Light" is futuristic, romantic, magic, different, unique. Neo-electro? This is something unusual. Something very very special. Something created by a being from another planet, or maybe from another dimension. But this is made in Detroit.

Northern light is a killer track, still sounds fresh to me.

The Rush Hour repress sounds great. I used to have the original Buzz 12” & if anything the sound quality is better on the re-mastered Rush Hour repress

The Rush Hour repress sounds horrible. Gritty, crunchy and distorted.

Pressing is clean and as expected remastering by Curve Pushers is spot on.

anyone can say anything about the pressing quality? especially because it is remastered - too often i got disappointed by great old music but mixed and pressed so badly from one of those many "reissue labels"..

I Love this EP and a lot of the Techno that was released at the time via Buzz etc...But am I the only one that finds the art work naff.

Hello all,without a doubt this e.p and Dark Comedy,/corbomite manuever / also released on Buzz Records ,and both with amazing painted picture covers , should be in the top 20 of every top 20. I rate these two that highly, and as time goes on they sound better and better.

It's all about Lifeforms on this ep. Very haunting. This is just a monster track. Thank you Kenny larkin.

Although this EP nowadays is fully available as digital and most of the tracks have been reissued on the dutch Rush Hour imprint a year or two ago - this CD single definitely is the real shit!

First of all, the artwork (Abdul Haaq, right?) is just plain beautiful and comes along with a lyrical little science fiction story printed on the back of the inlay.

Second, this sounds warm, dynamic and analogue as Techno only did in the old days. Yeah - you can tell me that's voodoo hoodoo over and over again, but to me this old CD sounds way better than the blown-up remastered versions. I'm not strictly against loudness and limiting, but I haven't come across one result until today where compression made an old, classic record sound better. Instead, it always spoils things real bad. Todays technology should be used on tomorrow's music - that's where it fits. Doesn't suit memories of yesterday, though.

These Detroit Techno gems here show Kenny Larkin sparkling with creativity, concept and emotion. A must-have that will hurt your wallet. But believe me - it hurts soooo good!
