Notes
The Blue Room E.P.:
Track position and credits on back cover as on 1st issue 12" Coldplay - The Blue Room E.P..
Cat# 388 3247 / BR1 on back cover. Cat# 388 3247 / BR1 / 00946 3 88325 7 7 on labels (sides A and B). Cat# 388 3247 / BR1 / 00946 3 88326 7 6 on labels (sides C and D).
Shiver:
Side E plays at 45 RPM. Side F 33 ⅓ RPM.
Cat# 388 3247 / 09463 3 88327 7 5 on back cover and labels.
Yellow:
Cat# 388 3247/09463 3 88328 7 4 on back cover and labels.
Trouble:
Cat# R 6549 on labels. Cat# 388 3247/00946 3 88329 7 3 on back cover, spine and labels.
Incorrect credits on disc 6 (Don't Panic), reprinted from the 12" version (Don't Panic): both vinyl and sleeve credits mark that side A contains two tracks ("Don't Panic" and "You Only Live Twice (Live From Norway)") and side B contains "Bigger Stronger (Live From Norway)". However there's no A2 on this 7-inch, and side B contains "You Only Live Twice (Live From Norway)".
Disc 8 (The Scientist) is marked 45 rpm on the side A label and 33 1/3 rpm on the side B label, but in fact both sides play at 33 1/3 rpm.
Disc 9 (Clocks) is marked 33 1/3 rpm on both labels, but both sides play at 45 rpm.
Incorrect credits on discs 14 (What If) and 15 (The Hardest Part): in both cases, the inner sleeves entirely duplicate the credits from disc 12 (Fix You) in error, referring to a non-existent "edit" on the A-side and a B-side that was recorded at Parr Street Studios, Liverpool, and Air Studios, London, even though both discs in fact feature B-sides recorded at live shows. As a result, the Tom Lord-Alge remix of What If on side AA is uncredited.
Sides E to T are labelled as "A" and "B" on each respective disc. Sides U to AD are labelled as "X" and "Y" on each respective disc, in keeping with the various labelling conventions of the original singles.
Discs with stamped runouts and no GZ credit pressed at Portal Space, identified by format, font and spacing of matrix numbers, and by the letters "PS" on disc 8 (The Scientist). Variant 1 of discs 4 (Yellow), 6 (Don't Panic), 12 (Fix You) and 13 (Talk) pressed at GZ, identified by format of code stamped in runouts.
Discs 8 (The Scientist), 9 (Clocks), 11 (Speed Of Sound) and 12 (Fix You) appear to have been pressed using the metalwork from the original 7-inch single releases in 2002, 2003 and 2005.

Edited 6 months agoAlguien podría confirmar si su edición es incompleta. Yo lo tengo desde el lanzamiento y tras ponerme en o con parlophone jamas obtuve respuesta. Me falta el single "the scientist

so happy I own this - great collection of B-sides on vinyl, really wish the band made another such release

Can anyone who owns this confirm whether it's simply the What If disc from The Singles 1999-2006? Some of the details here seem to have been incorrectly lifted from the Belgian CD release. If it's from the box, it would have "Coldplay - The Singles 1999-2006" and "not to be sold separately" in the small print on the back, and a catalogue number of 388 3247 / 00946 3 88338 7 1. Thanks!

Why is "Moses" not a part of this Singles box set? It was released as a single for the 2003 Live album (single was CD version only). Bummer. One of my top favorite Coldplay songs (and I think I speak for a lot of other people). Don't think it's ever been found on vinyl, correct?

Edited 4 years agoShiver single is 45 rpm on side A and 33 rpm on side B.
The Scientist incorrectly says 45 rpm on side A it's 33.
Clocks says 33 rpm on the label its 45. (both sides)
