Portal Space

UK pressing plant facility in Hayes, Middlesex operating between 2001 and 2009. Full name: Portalspace Records Limited.

Incorporated on 1 September 2000 as Portalspace Limited, Portalspace acquired the former Musitech) and was brought out of retirement by Portalspace’s owners to run the new operation in 2001. He served until 2004.

In 2008, the plants production output peaked at approximately 20,000 records a week.

Records pressed at Portal Space are identifiable by a machine-stamped "PS" (or occasionally "XX PS XX") at the end of the runout matrix string, e.g. "NXXDJ 11 A-1-1- PS". These unique machine-stamps were an identical format and typeface to those used by EMI Records at the plant previously.

Note: Not all records pressed by Portal Space have the "PS" in the runouts.
