Edited one day agoIt’s a great sounding record. Doesn’t sound as clear (i.e lacks a bit of presence) or as wide as some of my vintage jazz funk records or even my Acoustic Sounds/Tone Poet reissues. Other than the little muddiness - it packs a nice analog punch.
I will most likely seek an original US pressing at some point but for now this is a good place holder. -
Sounds really great, my copy is in a wonderful state and as it is often the case with Japanese pressings, the quality of the materials are wonderful -
Bought a near mint copy last week because i read the positive comments below. And i must say that i’m not disappointed !! What a cool dynamic sound !! First wanted to buy the AP reissue, but i personally prefer to have an nm original Japanese copy. -
I have a near mint copy of this, it looks and sounds amazing. One downside is that it doesn't have an obi strip with it. Does anyone know if replacements are available please? -
Such an amazing pressing. Came across this pressing in a Japanese audio shop… looks great, like it was cut yesterday… sound is superb… very happy. -
This sounds unbelievably good. That is until you hear the new 45RPM cut by Ryan K Smith for Analogue Productions
