I'm fairly certain this is the variant I have, however the barcode on the sleeve is not in a rectangular white box as shown in the images. The cream color is the background throughout. Separate variant?

Edited 6 months agoI'm not going to rate this because I can only rate my copy. It came still in shrink (not sealed, it was cut along the open seam) and looked pristine, but there is a LOT of noise and sibilance. I think someone played this with a damaged stylus. Very disappointing
-
Mine has an embossed E near the spindle hole on side "2" but not ...A S T. I love this album so much. Great road trip music.

I guess it's 1986 all over again, as I play this back to back with Peter Gabriel's SO, as I often did when I was 13 and had both albums on cassette. This pressing sounds pleasing, with great dynamic range from top to bottom and a very vivid, rich, densely layered soundstage. My copy plays nice and clean with a trace of occasional faint surface noise.
-
Unquestionably, one of my all-time favorite albums. This pressing does not disappoint. Fantastic, warm body of sound, that feels very present and very live. Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Los Lobos, Linda Ronstadt, (among others)- represented so well on this release.

Does anyone know which release the 'Red Opaque' one is? It doesn't seem to be under here. I don't think its the Maroon one, because it isnt numbered and there's no poster.
Heres a link to what I'm talking about:

Edited 6 years agoCan someone help please. I have an embossed cover R/S Alsdorf pressing but it is clearly stamped "GB" on the run out. The etched matrix is difficult to make out but the stamp is "R/S Alsdorf 925477-1-A2" on side 1. The spine has "UK: WX52 925447-1" and the labels just have "925 447-1". On the face of it this should be a UK release pressed in but it also has a hype sticker on the front printed in German. I also can't find any UK or European release with "GB" stamped on the run out. Is this a different release to those already listed?
