He released eight solo albums from 1976 to 1998. He co-wrote Bill Withers' "Just The Two Of Us"
He started his career at the age of 16 as percussionist for Steely Dan etc.
He co-founded publishing/production company Rosebud Recording Studio in the mid-1970s.
Father of Anthony MacDonald.
