Should this album be played at 33.333RPM or 45RPM? It sound better at 45RPM. No place list the play speed.

After listening to this for six years on an $80 TEAC all-in-one turntable that played a couple rpm’s too fast, I finally bought nice stereo gear and boy, is this pressing gorgeous. One of the best sounding records in my collection, beautiful soundstage and fidelity and everything through my enormous Pioneer speakers. I love the music too, they could’ve dropped the soundtrack-y interludes with no loss but the riffs and arrangements are superb — who would’ve thought that trombone, lumbering drums, pedal steel, baritone guitar and a barely overdriven Telecaster would make such stirring sounds together?

The crackling on the 2005 CD has always bothered, but this version sounds great. I've always suspected that Dylan Carlson was a huge fan of Jim Jarmusch's Dead Man and its Neil Young OST, and he very much succeeded in adopting the style. The best of the "new style" Earth records. -

The mastering on this is great, but the pressing is a bit noisy and poppy (even when cleaned thoroughly).
