Cymande – Second Time Round

Great, dynamic, awesome sounding pressing. Crystal clear with no noise. Record came flat/no warping. Warm, punchy lows. Crispy, bright highs. Very happy with this pressing. And the paper sleeve it comes in is whatever. Not a dealbreaker. Just swap it out or use it. A paper inner sleeve does not bring the quality of a solid pressing for me, but hey, that’s just me…

Good pressing overall, the bass is very loud tho, the basslines are amazing on this. But my EQ only has two knobs bass and treble, so it’s hard to get it sounding nice. But if you have a more powerful EQ it won’t be a problem.

Deep and crystal clear sound, which is dynamic with a well detailled relief.
The bass are round and vibrant.
An Excellent pressing.
Unfortunatelly, delivered in a simple paper inner sleeve, so, it need a cleaning before to avoid the light background noises.
Once this cleaning made, it's a perfect quiet and dynamic record.

I have this pressing, bought new-ish in the UK circa 2000(?). Having deciphered the runout etchings, it's cut by David Cheppa at Better Quality Sound. Sounds great to me.

This is a really solid pressing. Heavy weight vinyl and a nice mix. Mr Bongo records is now one of the labels I am starting to look for. They have repressed some harder to find stuff from the early 70’s and the quality seems to be there with every album I’ve picked up.

Unfortunately my copy came warped. Not sure if its the pressing or the delivery process though. The sound isn't great (rather flat and narrow) and the printing of the cover could be of better quality too so I wouldnt be surprised if the warping would be a factory issue.

Favourite Cymande album! My copy sounds amazing, no surface noise, punchy low end and beautiful deep blue vinyl, happy days!
