Amazing record. I don't play the techno cuts on side D much, but they are also nice if you're in the mood. The rest of it is gorgeous. -

Excellent album of deep, bleepy ambient/techno. The use of light as air ambiance like smoke wafting in a dimly lit room and enveloping everything and everyone in the room is utterly sublime!
If you are a fan of the whole Sandwell District sound then you will absolutely love this. -

Flirting with perfection, these tracks grasp at a timeless quality that is muffled by repetition, whereas they could have reached for the stars (sonically, not talking about fame here). Repeated listens are occasionally rewarding, but for those familiar with Pete Namlook's Fax catalog of the 90s, it feels like there is a zeitgeist and a stage of development missed. For younger listeners this is a good place to start the journey into this kind of palette, but not a worthy end to a sound that reached higher peaks in the 90s. -
This is a fantastic release! One of the best "ambient" albums I've heard in several years. The clear wax is a solid pressing, too, just as good as any black wax pressing. Unlike most Vatican releases, this album is impeccably produced, so I suspect this may be more Function than Vatican. Either way, it's a great piece of floaty yet foreboding electronics -- highly recommended!!
