Amazing record. I don't play the techno cuts on side D much, but they are also nice if you're in the mood. The rest of it is gorgeous.

Flirting with perfection, these tracks grasp at a timeless quality that is muffled by repetition, whereas they could have reached for the stars (sonically, not talking about fame here). Repeated listens are occasionally rewarding, but for those familiar with Pete Namlook's Fax catalog of the 90s, it feels like there is a zeitgeist and a stage of development missed. For younger listeners this is a good place to start the journey into this kind of palette, but not a worthy end to a sound that reached higher peaks in the 90s.
