Earth (2) – Primitive And Deadly

Badgers Bane is a phenomenal bonus track. Solid press. Sounds great.

Don't be dissuaded: this is a solid Earth album; great pressing and beautiful jacket. People complaining about the vocals are silly; Dylan loves to collaborate and that should be celebrated. People who want the same shit every time are the problem.

This is like folk doom to me. Sounds great on vinyl. The sleeve is a work of art.

Not as strong as Earth's past few albums. Although thew music is solid, it's the vocals that seem out of place here. Packaging is excellent Southern Lord quality. Artwork is killer and the marbled pressing looks great with little to no surface noise.

For one that's labeled as purple/green/blue, there really is little to no green in the mix at all, at least on my copy. It still looks fantastic however.

The vocals are seemingly meant to be an ominus manifesto from the Joshua tree desert. Worth paying heed, even if you don't enjoy the variety they bring to the agave atmosphere. The excellent recording sounds very well on vinyl. The fabulous cover is the seasoning on top. Great! ~*~

I was also disappointed with this album, the vocals just didn't do it for me and kind of make me not want to listen to it again.
Much preferred Drcarlsonalbion's Gold Or Earth angels and demons 1 + 2.
oh well. at least it wasn't horribly expensive........ Though I will be less quick to jump on Earth's next album without a pre-listen first.

earth is one of my favorite bands and i gotta say this album has been the biggest disapointment to me.
I come to earth for amazing minimalist instrumental drone pieces not for stoner doom we already have
tons of stoner metal bands with bad vocals to cover that. Really sad they went this route. Oh well

Got the 'European exclusive' which consist of simple packaging. The sticker on the seal mentioned coloured vinyl but it's just black vinyl :/
Bought it at their show in Amsterdam.
