Fantastic piece of hi-fi ephemera that I'll likely never use, even though it includes a very detailed instruction guide.

HiFi / Stereo Review put this Test Record out back in 1963...Like most home Test Records there is music on one side and audio tests on the flip side of the LP...What makes this particular album different than most of this genre, the entire music side is a Direct to Disc recording...Not many folks knew of that process back then...Over the years I have had a few Direct To Disc albums and they are stunning because they record in the session right onto the lathe and make the pressing right there in the studio...No tape, just straight to disc...Downside of that use of recording is that they can only produce so many copies of the album on that ONE recorded pressing because it finally starts to sonically deteriorate...So this record serves up a bit audio history...Test away all...
