The Beatles – Help! (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Very nice sound on this pressing. Clean and clear, with just a bit of surface noise when you drop the needle.

Closest variant to my copy which has orange labels and G-23 press on both sides, along with the other LA marks. Sound quality is excellent.

My copy has the Apple label but I can’t find it in the list?

I have this version except my A side has an etched “5” instead of a “2”. The B side has an etched “3”.

This pressing sounds really good. If you find one in good condition pick it up!!!

With the exception of "Ticket to Ride", I really think this is one of Capitol's strongest early releases. The mono master of Help! was rushed and sounds like garbage no matter how you listen to it in mono. The rest sounds great and the film score sounds lovely on this pressing. For me, this truly is the definitive Help! album. The score is essential to telling the story.

As far as US pressings of Beatles LPs go, I've yet to hear a Capitol orange label reissue that didn't sound less than amazing. This one is no different. Even in a fairly worn and lightly scuffed VG condition, this still has a very vibrant and explosive sound with crisp high end and a warm and deep low end presence. Can't recommend it enough!

I have this album, however in the matrix parts, both sides A & B have the W9 at the end; there’s no P10 on my side B. Does anyone else have a copy like this as well?

I wonder why the color of “new improved” was changed to yellow on this variation?

Listening to my copy for the first time since ~2007/2008. Shocked how clean this sounds. I have vinyl from the 2020s that sound like absolute garbage compared to this. Scoring a shiny and un-blemished copy back in the day definitely didn't hurt!
