Got a copy of this today and it has tiny pops/crackles throughout, just noticeable if you are sitting and listening intently. No biggie if you were walking around the room doing other things. The music itself sounds really good and the noise floor on the vinyl itself is very low. Might see if I can swap it out for another one and get a real clean pressing.

Add me to the group of folks who got a 2017 copy that is subpar to say the least. B2 and B3 are littered with pops and surface noise. This was a new record. Super low effort. -

This album deserves a 2LP 45rpm version as well as his other releases. Quiet, consistent music like this really needs to be brought up from the inevitable noise floor.
Artistically, I can justify the noise. Feels like an old record rescued from obscurity. Though I may buy the CD too for a different listening experience. -
Ugh my copy has 2 loud pops on “Blink” which is my fav track and scared the shit outta me. Other than a little bit of surface noise scattered here and there, it’s a mostly quiet record.

side b is pretty silent, side a however is pretty crackly -
One of the best records in my collection. What's funny is how much of a different experience this record becomes on a good set, especially one with a good bass presentation. Take the song Blink for example. On a nice pair of headphones of speakers you are able to hear texture, some bass, clarity. On a GOOD set you can hear so much more texture in every synth line. The bass becomes so much more present and has such a fantastic roll off. The clarity just becomes second to none.
Hiroshi Yoshimura is an absolute legend, and this record serves as an example of why that is. Cannot recommend this one enough! -
Is there a way to tell the 2020 issue from the 2017 if it’s sealed? I just received it from LITA. There appears to be no discernible outward difference.

5 stars for the album, 4 stars for my copy specifically. it sounds really good actually, but there are some light crackles sporadically but it really doesn’t affect me unless i’m expecting for a dead silent copy.
i was hesitant at first with all these reviews but i’m glad i pulled the trigger
