This mastering isn't particularly wonderful - it's quite compressed, muddy and lifeless, so I'll definitely be looking out for another copy. Don't bother with this one. -

Please be aware, most of the reviews on this are from the 2020 or 2024 reissue, not this actual copy which was the original press of these metals. -
I purchased an unopened, original copy of this album here on Discogs. Seller listed it as a Terre Haute pressing, but upon opening discovered from the deadwax etchings that it was a "Gloversville" pressing. Not the sellers fault, since it was unopened and the exterior sleeve would not have indicated which plant it was pressed. Side 1 was an MCA-NY master, and was relatively poor quality with quite a bit of surface noise. Side 2 was an MCA-ILL master, which I found to be quite nice.

It sounds like there may be multiple "versions" of this release. Mine states "made in Canada." That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I will say the pressing for me leaves a lot to be desired. The pressing itself is very quiet, but with a LO MC cart, there is a disturbing number of tonal variabilities throughout the tracks. At times, voices sound as if they are in a tunnel, at others, cymbals are too forefront, etc. I'll be searching for a different pressing. Disappointed.

This sounds great. I can only compare it to the 2004 and 2013 remastered versions but this version is substantially better. Recommended. -

Seems to be the image for the pressing is incorrect as it has Made in in the image but the UK version does not have that obviously. -
Very spacious, clean pressing. Drums seems to take center stage often though. Can be over powering at times. -

A really poor pressing. Sounds super muddy and there's tons of noise.
