Notes
The album "Destroyed" was accompanied by the release of a photo book with the same name.
The "Destroyed Deluxe" version included a bonus disc, aptly titled "Bonus Disc". The Amazon version of "Destroyed Deluxe" included another bonus disc, "Live From London (Greatest Hits)", which was in fact an edited version of the separately released live album "Live In London".
Singles from this album:
"Be The One" (EP)
"The Day"
"Lie Down In Darkness"
"After"
"The Right Thing"
A new version of "After" by Joris Voorn vs. Moby was released under the title "After The After".
While the single "The Poison Tree" is not featured on the original release of "Destroyed", it was included on the "Destroyed Deluxe" version.
The song "Rockets" had been previously released in 2008 in an instrumental version on the compilation "A Night In NYC".

The track listing listed on one of the inserts lists the songs in a slightly different order than on the CD but actually plays them in the same order as the CD... maybe a last minute change?

Edited 2 years agoMine is crackling terribly throughout...near mint/mint condition. Not a mark on either record. Used the anti static brush on it and put it in Hudson Hi-Fi sleeves..audio technica AT-LP 120...anyone else having this issue?

Great deluxe boxset with a CD of new tracks and alternate versions and a DVD packed with videos and live footage. The live album is a nice addition too! Feel this is an underrated album, I think it has some decent songs on here.

Another beautiful production, uplifting, melodic, great vocals, and relaxing, "Rockets" is my favorite music in this release.

This is one of those albums where, when you listen to it again after a while, you'll think you have heard this music on some other cd of Moby somewhere. But it's actually only on this release. I think this describes the album best. It's nice to listen to the album as a whole, but there isn't much that will stick to you after the first few listens. It's not that the tracks are too simple. In fact they are a bit on the softer and more "simple" side, but that's not always a bad thing. He is bringing us beautiful and memorable music.
I'll give this album 4/5. It's better than most other Downtempo music and it's great on many occasions. But compared to his other works this is not outstanding. It's not as deeply melancholic as Wait For Me and it's not as joyfully everlasting as Play and 18.But if the man would release 10 more albums like this, I'd buy them all.
Like the person below me I'm also going to edit my review: The word "simple" might sound harsh describing this release. I meant it in a "less is more" kind of way. This has become my second favorite album of his after "Wait For Me". It's honest, pure and sensitive. I could listen to his music forever. -

I think I know what he was trying to do but it didn't work out. I Always give him another shot to try in the future.
Update : liking it more. It actually might be the first album you play of his where if you don't pay attention to it it gets better. Most Moby music being in your face. This still is but the charm is more subliminal.
Might be moby's most interesting release he's done. Can't figure out whether its a his second peak of quality like in the early 90's. Forget his popular period -
