Moby looks very happy, on the front cover of this album. I think, he must have been very pleased, when they took the picture, because he had finished making another one of his hit albums, and he was now looking forward to enjoying some spare time doing other things, like pretending to be a spaceman, and kissing Natalie Portman.

This is one of the best albums by Moby in my opinion, filled with variety of melodies and vocals, a good choice of sounds, this is a beautiful production, touching, uplifting , melancholic and relaxing. My favorite track is "Sleep alone".

Moby reached with the album Play (1999) the absolute mega status. There were as many as ten million copies sold. As one of the few technomuzikanten of his generation knew Moby to surprise his audience time and time again, by becoming new musical detours in store. In addition to his erratic career processed Moby techno also punk, blues and alternative rock in his music. In the eighteen songs of 18 he grabs for the first time in his career back on earlier work. The record sounds like a logical continuation of Play. That's good news for the many fans who appreciate this album mainly because of him. On the other hand, a disappointment for those who expected an innovative plate again by Moby.
