So, on the similar EU pressing, 50% of the owners say it's crap (compared to the 2014 cut or an OG) but here, the only 2 comments praise it.
This one being a BG cut pressed on 2 records should really be above a Heino Leja cut on a single LP but it's hard to decide when reading the comments here...

Do we know if this one was also cut by Bernie Grundman? I know he did the pressing in 2019 that looks nearly identical to this one.

My copy sounds amazing, though mine is pressed a little off-center on side A. Can’t really tell in the sound tho and honestly didn’t notice it at all until I was just staring at my tonearm and noticed a slight sway. But other than that, it’s a great sounding album, I’m hearing stuff in the songs I’ve never heard before, and I’ve listened to this album so many times (not on vinyl tho) and just recently on this same setup I’m using for this lp. So I’m impressed.

I recently bought a copy - not the Polish pressing- sealed, from local store. I want to mention two things. First is that record is flawless and clean. Second thing is that when i rised up bass and treble it sounded much much better, especially in lower parts. About the drums it must be considered that they are a bit back in mixing anyway, even in cd version quitars and bass are on front. This happens to many "stoner" albums.

Mines is fine too btw, no issues, maybe it was just some were bad & some were not?

Don't waste your time with this one. Seek out a 2014 reissue instead with B041493-01 in the runouts. It looks to have been pressed with the same stampers as the OG, but just cut by someone else. It destroys this all around.

So... someone put in the description that this new 2023 pressing was also cut by Bernie Grungman but has a different runout number and without the BG initials... mmmmm
Is there anyone who can compare and tell how this version sounds? Thanks.

I don't think the photos are of this release. No reference to "First Sound" on rear sleeve.

I can confirm my copy is the Made In BG cut. The best way to describe my experience is this:

Dynamic and soundstage during verses of almost all the songs are good to great Compression is evident but didn’t bother me so much.

However, as soon as the chorus/loud part of the songs kick in, the compression is much more evident. The sound gets squashed in these parts but it could very much be due to mixing decision to take drums volume down during the choruses.

Overall, because of the the latter point I mentioned above, the listening experience isn’t as great as Songs For The Deaf or Lullabies To Paralyze (which to be fair has the advantage of being spread across 2 LP).

The artwork is cool and the pressing quality is top notch. The sound quality is miles better than the 2019 reissue of Era Vulgaris (which is one of the worst sounding records I own).

Decidedly inferior to the Pallas/Grundman pressing, yet it appears to be identical at first glance. Surface noise throughout, and it just sounds dull and muddy. Not impressed…
