Various – Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

I have the 2010 red vinyl pressing : Runout: 03431 A Trutone Mastering NY Carl 7-10 / 03431 B Trutone Mastering Labs NY Carl 7-10. Sounds good to me, clean, quiet, a nice grungy sound on the Sex Bob-Omb tracks and the vinyl itself is good looking, flat and skip free. I am not sure but some of the reviews below seem to be for the later re-press (which I cannot comment on).

This is a truly awful pressing. Besides the annoying pops, the true problem is the sound. It's lifeless, flat, dull and lacks bass. This pressing takes all the life out of the music. I found myself disliking every song just because of how bad the pressing makes the songs sound. I played it twice and sold it.

Cool looking vinyl but not so great sounding. Lots of surface noise even after hypersonic wet cleaning. Love the soundtrack. Love the movie. Don’t love this pressing.

I feel like they should've put the twins on one together, then had Todd and Envy on one together, then that would leave one for Knives!

Would've been dope to have the twins pose together and for Larson's Envy to get featured on one of these pic discs

This pressing is absolutely fine. I'd go as far to say... good? Quiet. Nice dynamics. Even the Beck and Sex Bob-Omb tracks sound nice.

One of the worst records in my collection sadly. Sound is compressed and underwhelming. Has a skip loop near the end of Sleazy Bed Track.
The 7 evil exes picture disc box set sounds better than this thankfully.
Runout IDs on mine match what Discogs shows (03431A, 03431B)

This is probably closer to a 3.5 than it is to a 3 for me, but the site does not allow for half ratings, and the poor quality of the jacket breaks the tie. I love this movie. I love Edward Wright. So much so that I can forget how much I hate Michael Cera. For anyone who has read the graphic novels, you know the movie is about as close as it can be to achieving what is on the page. The soundtrack is essentially perfect in of song choice, and performance. I would go see Sex Bomb-Omb in concert, if that were possible. The colored vinyl is just like Ramona's hair. As cool as everything is conceptually and appearance-wise...the actual records are a bit lacking. Cleary, this should have been a 2LP release (and given how much Ramona changes her hair, having different colored vinyls would have been totally keeping with that theme). The sonics, while clear and polished, are a bit "dull" and boring. It's just sort of wimpy. There's nothing bad about it, but there really isn't anything great about it either.

My copy has virtually no surface noise, but the sound quality is lacking in certain points. Most of the songs sound a little compressed. I agree with the other collectors; I wish these companies would spend a little more money and efforr into making the jackets sturdy and high quality, and I wish they'd stop giving us the cheap sleeves that contain debris and give your LP surface scratches.
