Sun Electric were one of the earliest pioneers of the electronic style known as "IDM". This their first UK release on the seminal acid
house label Wau Mr. Modo is truly a masterpiece. Although issued as a 12" single, the total playing time clocks in at almost 35:00
minutes, making it as long as most full length LP's. The music is tiimelss and blends many styles including, ambient, ambient house, bleep, downtempo, minimal house, minimal techno, progressive house, dub techno, and IDM, and contains mixes by Youth, The Orb, and KLF. All the tracks are edited by Thomes Fehlman and there's no filler material, It's all killer. It doesn't sound dated like most other
releases from 1990 often do.

can anyone tell me how the three orb remixes that appear on the CDEP compare with the four orb remixes from the vinyl? looks like the track durations are different, but still don't completely add up as the same total time. -

Is it just my copy or is this recording really, really quiet? This is probably the quietest record in my entire collection. -

I agree with scoundrel - it's all about the Orb remixes here, particularly #3. Save the best for last right? -

Sun Electric's early work O'LOCCO gets plenty of mix love, particularly from Thomas Fehlmann and The Orb here. Their own "Radioland" mix hasn't aged too terribly well, but that and their "Kama Sutra" and "Space Therapy" mixes are both pleasant and overly similar pieces of electro-pop. Thomas Fehlmann, for his "Hyperfloral" mix, takes an ambient approach, but it's The Orb's "Orbital Therapy" mixes which deserve special mention, with each therapy getting more blissful and trippy as they go on. -

talk about classic baleraic beats . what an absolutely amazing sunrise tune . if you where there you know this tune for sure . if not check out link , kama sutra mix always best for me . drifting away for days to this one lol . all time spacey downbeat classic . if you even remotely like FSOL , ORB , KLF , then do check this out . -

The early orb mixes on the flip makes this an essential release - 20 minutes of spaced-out trippiness that doesn't make you feel like a hippy for listening to it.
