Notes
11th studio album released January 1977.
The sound and production of this album were significantly influenced by Krautrock, the group Lodger, which form his so-called "Berlin Trilogy" with Low from 1977 to 1979.
The UK first edition (David Bowie - Low) has a cover that uses a modified version of the US cover - the catalogue present in the top RH front corner of the US cover has been masked over (artifacts are visible); the fan club insert of the UK edition uses a different font where catalogue numbers differ from the US numbers. The UK spine copies the US spine and adds additional information. The rear sticker (attached to the UK cover) has the titles Left Margined, whereas the remainder of the album artwork uses a Centred style (as seen on the front cover, insert and US sticker).

I agree, a wonderful pressing, probably the best sounding vinyl LP that I own. Very earthy, musical, and it really kicks. And yes, it does sound better than the 2018 Parlophone remaster. Five stars. -
I bought this vinyl brand new over a year ago and it was great except it was skipping on side B (even after a cleaning), especially in the first track. So eventually I sold that copy but recently ordered another one and hoping this one won't be damaged.

My pressing has Bilbo cut on both side not just side one.
Besides, A-1T and B-1T.
Sounds great. -

The skip that the OP mentioned has most certainly nothing to do with the length of side 2...
Longer sides have audio consequences like lack of dynamics, lower volume, diminished bass (usually done by the cutting engineer) and, usually, some IGD at the end of the side.
At 30min, it is clearly long but not unseen. 17min or less seems a bit extreme as many +20min records have been released even by audiophile labels.
Now, what makes this side not so bad is the fact that it's ambient music with a small amount of deep-bass and almost no beat. This helped greatly to master this side without compromising too much on the dynamics.
All in all, put in good hands, a long side can still sounds good.
But, yes, i concur, we could have had these bonus tracks on a separate disc.
A bonus 12" would have been great not to f*ck with the original tracklist, especially with this crappy remix and it would have taken advantage of this rather ugly gatefold.
I guess this is what you were getting in the 90's...
No wonder Ryko lost the rights not long after! -

Not my favorite Bowie album, but the more I listen to it the more I like it. Production is ahead of its time. The drum sounds incredible! I agree with everyone else that the pressing is fantastic! Highly recommended.

Side 1 plays fast, not uncomfortably and yet side 2 plays normal. Temptation was to fix in Audition but left alone, is this how it was released. A nice tone to playback sound/audio. -

I am not sure how other pressings sound, but I don't feel the need or urge to find out. This version of Low sounds glorious, it is definitely a keeper. RIP Bowie, we all miss you.
