Damn fine pressing! Raw, powerful guitars and bouncy on the low end, perfect balance. This absolutely destroys every digital and analogue remaster I’ve owned. Wow! Nice 3D soundstage like being in the studio live. And Petty must have been a fan of the film Dementia 13!

One star off for lame paper inner sleeve. Aside from that, pressing is quality. A little bassy in places but not a deal breaker. Nice mids and drums are right where they need to be. With BG and CB involved, the sound seems okay but not world beating IMHO. Worth having but wow factor missing for me thus far. I may revise after a few more spins.

Quite possibly the best rock album of the entire decade of the magnificent 80s. Tom raw, rare, kickin ass, breaking it big. Legend always lives on. Listen to the album. That is all.

Sound is great. The songs are very good. You will enjoy this. Breakdown and American Girl are all time great songs.

After an ultrasonic bath, my copy plays quite nice. Vinyl is quiet. Good balance. Good mix. Everything crisp and clear.

Does anyone know the year this reissue was pressed? 1976 Also?

Wow, the original Canadian pressing of this album is incredible. Beats the original US pressing and compares favorably with the Bellman remaster. Drums and cymbals shine through, while the guitars bass and vocals are all where they should be. Vinyl is slightly noisy, though I might just have to clean my copy.

This version sounds amazing, and I think the the quality of the vinyl is pretty good. It's a bit heavier in weight than the 70s pressings.

Is this disc copy-protected? I’ve tried loading it onto my computer several times and none of those times worked.
