Ok, this is something that I've been wanting to do for a while, since we have a "Dub techno ONLY" topic, and that when people post things in there that veer only slightly from the 4/4 kick/120bpm/chords template they get really yelled at, I thought to make a topic especially for recommendations of things that people who listen to dub techno might enjoy, but which are either not strictly speaking dub techno (maybe closer to techno or ambient or other forms of electronic music), or are but don't really bother to enforce that particular template too much.
Kicking things off with a very cool series of EPs on the Hidden Hawaii label, which is home to some really great, dub and ambient-infused drum and bass : the 3-part Nautil series is available at Hard Wax. Here are the links :
https://hardwax.com/71335/db1/nautil-13/
https://hardwax.com/71336/943/nautil-23/
https://hardwax.com/71337/skv18/nautil-33/
Keeping in line with the sound of the label, all the tracks on these EPs are beautifully made drum & bass tracks with some really deep drones and dub tech-ish chords mixed in. All of the tracks are up on youtube if you want to check them out as well, here are a couple :

Not really new per se (although with all the unreleased material it kind of feels like it is, and the music hasn't aged a day anyway) but Snd are re-releasing all their early EPs with a heap of extra unheard tracks for each one, in beautiful colored vinyl editions.

http://boomkat.com/vinyl/1063655-snd-newtables-special-extended-edition
http://boomkat.com/vinyl/1084012-snd-travelog-special-extended-edition
Snd has never been and will never be classified as dub techno but despite the glitch overtones I've always found a warmth and a depth to their work that feels very at home within the dub tech sound, especially on the quieter and chord-reliant tracks.
Exceptional stuff, do not miss. -

Another reissue here, but it's a good one, and there are chances you don't even know about it.
http://g-man-techno.bandcamp.com/album/bayou-paradis
Gez Varley (of LFO fame)'s Bayou Paradis album is probably one of the earliest examples of what is known today as dub techno. The album was originally released in 2001 on Force Inc, but listening to it today you'd be forgiven for mistaking it for a new Grad_U or Mr Cloudy album, if it weren't for the significantly techier bent he applies to the tracks on here, because the lush sound design of the chords on display here is nothing short of visionary as far as predicting the sound that the entire genre of modern dub techno uses today. Tracks like Soul Gate, Gardelle or Le Soleil sound very much like they come from a good decade after their original release date.
In short, this is something of a vital history lesson for all the people who like this genre. To me, about as vital as Octex's Idei Lahesna in the same wheelhouse. Heartily recommended. -

Yes Axs,
'Bayou Paradise' was like a shock for my friends and me when it was released in 2001. We were like a community of DJs in Salamanca playing the Scape, Chain Reaction and Force Inc stuff. So we were diffusing the dub techno sound everywhere we could, even in the oldest pub of the city with his customers who used to listen jazz inside. 'Bayou Paradise' sounded like more dynamic and progressive than other albums of the time (Fluxion, Rhythm & Sound, Pole...). I used to play it with Glory B 'Sunday Island' (mighty album remastered by Pole) who was released in the same time.

For those who liked his previous LP "Cruise Forever", Austin Cesear comes back to Public Information with a new LP entitled "West Side". You can get it here :
http://publicinformation.bandcamp.com/album/west-side
Perhaps even more than "Cruise Forever", "West Side" is a dub techno album that deals with the sound in a manner more closely resembling Chain Reaction than any recent exploration of the genre (with the exception of Rod Modell's recent work as DeepChord) and highly recommended to anyone who likes their dub techno to be more on the experimental side. -

As a performer and as an artist Karen Gwyer is firmly rooted in hardware technology, and it shows. Lush textures and deep alien sounds abound in her releases as well as her live sets. This release on Opal Tapes is three tracks of dreamy hazy goodness, halfway between Detroit techno, 1970s German ambient synth music, dub and early Warp-esque experiments, and should not be missed. -

http://recycledplastics.bandcamp.com/album/beatless
As usual with this guy, what you're getting is a brilliant take on dub techno, in my opinion he is always taking the genre in really interesting, unusual ways. Here we have a record made of various textures, hypnotic patterns halfway between dub techno, drone and ambient. Think something along the lines of Fluxion's [spaces] or the beatless portions of the Chain Reaction catalogue (Resilent, Erosion, Ridis, etc.) -

Okay 3 oldies but worth a mention!
Ganja Beats
Two great albums released by Jake Stephenson(RIP). The first being more rooted reggae with trip-hop with that 90's Beat Pharmacy/Legion of Green Men,/Children of The Bong dubby technoy downtempo sound. Great electronic dub(by) music...The 2nd album more towards dub-dubby techs-ambient with some beautiful deep traquil downtempo ambient and dubby like moments. Both genuinely top dubby albums.

"Tremendously atmospheric dark dubby ambience that demands a listen. Sub bass picks out melodies whilst your ear fills with crackles. It’s dub techno without the techno bit (no beats) and actually very little dub, but the atmospheres remain. Think the recent Anjou collaboration of former Labradford folks or Pole’s more out-there moments or the underwater sweep of Deepchord, but this is dark and heavy rather than light and clicky and the pulsing synths of ‘Massa’ provide a churning bedrock for the Gas like textures to drift around." Ok so this is debatably new and debatably dub techno but it might still interest some of you :
http://superfine.bandcamp.com/album/remixes-beat-side

This is a two-pack collection of remixes that collect a LOT of totally unreleased (and a lot of so-far unheard) reworks that I've done over the years and have been gathering dust on my hard drives. The thing is, I have no idea where rights lies on these things, since some of the remixes are from various commercial artists and were made out of sample packs that were given for remix contests on soundcloud and stuff, hence the complete absence of track titles. But I wouldn't be posting this here if it wasn't of interest to anyone. So you might like to know that these two compilations contain, in no particular order :
— at least three remixes of tracks by Zzzzra (including one planned for Entropy which never came out)
— a totally unofficial Echospace remix
— a never-before heard G.R.I.T. remix originally made for the Expanse re-release on Entropy
— an Ohrwert remix
— an unreleased Textural Being remix
— a remix of a Matrix track (aka Tetsuo Tsuri, the Chain Reaction artist)
— a couple of unreleased Space_ci remixes
Most of these had previously been published on my old soundcloud so some of them may be familiar to you (that Textural Being remix in particular was kind of popular if I correctly), but it's the first time any of these are released. -
