I bought mine sealed but there was no hype sticker or code. Did anyone else's copy omit the code and sticker?
-
Just received my copy from Amazon. Looks like a repress - same matrix numbers on the runouts. No sticker on the shrinkwrap, the card was inside the outer sleeve. Inner sleeves are not polylined but thick paper ones.
Both records are clean and sound is really good. -
Was very disappointed with the sound quality of this, especially when comparing to the MP3. Squashed, a bit distorted and very flat sounding. The 808 snare hits sound like paper rather than the satisfying little pop you expect. Swapped for an original copy (at great expense of course) and was very pleased to find it sounds perfect.

I just got this from amazon. Sound amazing! All sides sound excellent, zero surface noise. I cleaned it before I played it though, the sleeves warp uses are terrible. Lots of debris.
Comes with a card as well. -
Came across this LP by accident...saw the ownership stats and the other reviews and thought I'd give it a listen. Needless to say, I don't understand the hype.

Edited 5 years agoQuite simply sublime, I like to listen to this while I am poring over a 5000 piece jigsaw puzzle, as it is very relaxing!!

purchased a copy of the 2018 (?) re-cut a few weeks back - sounds great!
nice and punchy, no complaints to speak of - i suggest double checking, and checking again, the setup of your turntable if you're still having problems. what a treat to be able to finally own this record either way. -
