Edited one year agoI don't own it. I've seen videos of it and it looks beautiful on the turntable. Pity they didn't include "La negra tomasa" on side B

Edited one year agoMalísima impresión.

My copy also got inserts... the only thing i dislike is that the inner sleeves are coarse paper which is relatively easy to replace (or reinforce since you can slide some plastic inner sleeves inside it) so not that big of a deal. I do agree with the person who said that gatefold sleeves would be better, but since i felt there is little to no noise (unfortunately the black wax was noisier probably than other discs) i think it's a fairly decent job and i would recommend it (if you dont mind that the black EP is lousier than the rest).

My boxset didn't have any album inserts. Do i mind, not really. All 5 lps sound great, i try to avoid picture disc but these are really good. I've had no issues! I love the box it comes with, looks great on the shelf. If you're a fan its a must have.

Edited one year agoWhile the picture disc is very pretty to look at, the sound suffers as expected and there's lots of surface noise

Very nice box set. Not sure what the other reviewer is talking about ... all four of the albums have inserts inside the album with lyrics and additional information. So far, my copies sound fine (haven't played each one all the way through yet, had to start with the Adrian Belew produced and played on "El Silencio" first). Only issue is that spindle hole is a little tight ... easily fixed with a pencil or letter opener to make the hole a tad bit bigger.
One of the greatest "Rock en Español" era bands !!! ♥♥♥ -
Edited 7 years agoThis is a wasted opportunity for Sony Music and this mexican cult band. Single sleeves, no inserts, picture discs with a lot of distorsion during loud ages. At least the outside looks pretty, right? They could at least have made them into gatefolds and put the lyrics and credits in there. 2 stars only for the pic disc designs.
