Spicelab's tracks get longer and even more spacey on A DAY ON OUR PLANET, from the quick and mesmerizing trance of "Falling" to the industrial outer space battle of "We Got Spice." The title track lets itself build and thrum, and "Planet Spice" rounds out the album on a more mysterious note, with the whir and click of a camera flashbulb halfway through before heading out with a string orchestra. Despite the long run times of the individual track, Lieb offers enough variation within the track itself, segueing from one mood to the next, to keep the listener from falling completely into a soporific trance. Instead, the trance is lively, engaging and pretty sweet.
