Edited 4 years agoBeing a HUGE Jam & Lewis fan for many years prior to this album's release, I can say with full conviction, that this 1993 album is what made my loose interest in Jam & Lewis & Janet herself.
Some good moments to be found here, but far too many sample-based excursions for my taste, especially for Jam & Lewis, whom NEVER really used this approach previously, but for some reason, had to jump on the early 90's bandwagon for too much of this album.
Again, there are some good Jam & Lewis moments here, such as "Where are you now" & "The body who loves you", but the sample-based tracks such as "New Agenda" simply turned me off. Ditto for "if" with it's completely unintelligible vocals/lyrics.
This would be the last Jam & Lewis album I would buy until the Janet album "20yo" many years later. (really just for the classic sounding "Take care") -
This is the 25th anniversary of this album - wondering who dropped the ball and didn't plan a reissue of the vinyl, which is needed. Money on the table, folks.......
