Edited 2 months agoI've had this copy from August 2016. Mine sounds great. I wonder (as it's still being pressed now 8 years later) if the later copies are not as good? Is it pressed from the same plate? With people saying it doesn't sound good?? Just a thought.

Edited 8 months agoI think this sounds great. I read the negative reviews and took a chance on a used copy. You never see this in shops. Majority of the “surface noise” is from the sampling, durr. And clean your records.
-
good press. has the original samples of frontier psychiatrist unlike the new ttl color pressing. the only noise/crackling i noticed on this is the noise that you can also hear on the digital versions, meaning that it comes from the original vinyl samplings and does not speak to the quality of this pressing

Cover Art: 10/10
Sound Quality: 9/10
Packaging: 10/10 (gatefold)
Total: 10/10, Reccomended Masterpiece. -
I don't have the earlier pressings, but this sounds pretty good. They did remove some samples so some songs sound a bit different (to spotify, to my ears at least) but still this is a great album and it's nice getting a different take on the album.

The sound is disappointing. First time I didn’t enjoy listening of this great album. Refrain from buying of this pressing.
-
Great album, bad pressing. A lot of clicks and pops. Brushing, zero stat, master sleeves don't help at all. Such a shame.
-
Great legendary album but this ain't a good pressing. Sound is far from being sharp or clean, plenty of distortion. I'm using a Rega P8 + Apheta II and sounds better when streaming through Spotify. Another disappointing XL Recording pressing.

Not noticed any samples missing. Does anyone have a list of exactly the differences and sources and track times from the original LP press. Sounds as I .
