Rant time -- well, because I'm a PF diehard, and I CAN and I WILL... here we go. Between the 2011 Discovery box and various individual vinyl/CD releases, I essentially own every PF recording at least twice or thrice over... in addition to the DSOTM & WYWH Immersion boxes. HOWEVER, I DID NOT pick this up. Why? No 5.1/7.1/any sort of surround sound mix for this. As far as I know there isn't even a quad recording of this out there. Tell me this -- and yes, I'm asking YOU Rog & Dave as you bicker in your little sandbox -- how is it THE seminal ear candy recording to end the 1970s isn't available in any version of surround? You and the so-called rock gods are holding out? That can't be it, we'll all be dead soon and if one existed I have to think it would've appeared in this set. So what are we left with... the mix got baked? That's all I can think of, as it seems other recordings of the period such as Rush/Permanent Waves ran into the same issue. If that's the case -- and I relayed the same thing to Ged & Alex -- then shame on your guys and you completely blew it! I ain't shelling out dough for anymore WALL-related releases, unless something new and magical appears to swirl in surround sound around my ears... Rog & Dave, I've paid for enough of your sushi dinners. But now I'm done. Your welcome in advance.
So, again, didn't pick up this set and won't... in case the point wasn't taken earlier.

Fantastic box set with some of the most amazing sounding demos I’ve ever heard! The remastered Is There Anybody Out There also sounds truly incredible and beats the original. This is highly recommended and a MUST OWN for any big Floyd fan! Mind officially blown!!!
-
this is a sweet box set but could have been way better. The dvd is pretty slim it should have had a lot more material. The documentary is cool but i recorded it off of vh1 already
