Guys, the vinyl is clean and punchy as hell! The quality of the pressing is outstanding. If someone will ask me to show what my system is capable of, I'll drop the needle on this record. Just wow! Wtf is that

Edited 9 months agoThis was an extremely important album for me when it came out. It's deeply etched in my mind. I was looking forward to this remaster to discover or rediscover things I may have missed. And, sadly, I found nothing. Yes, the sound is clean and clear, and that's about all as it resembles exactly the original release. As the reviewer REENO says, this should have been put out on double discs. Opportunity missed. Disappointing remaster.

First copy was badly warped but still played great. Requested a second copy, that one is flat as a pancake and also plays great. I always vacuum wet clean before playing, doesn’t always play virtually quiet afterwards, but most of the time it does. Sound quality is very nice, as already noted, drums and synths in particular rock the room. If you’ve got a powered subwoofer or two, you’re in for a treat.

Edited one year agoI know the AP release has came out, but I think I will stick to this for now! Crazy deep and fast bass, drums and synths surrounding you. Beats my UK first pressing.
Miles did such an amazing job on this. My vinyl was quiet with no pops or clicks, recommended! -
I don’t understand all the comments about noise and clicks. My copy is perfect, pristine sounding. Full of dynamics and resolution and the low end is big and detailed.
My room gets filled with all the synth sounds….so awesome. Much better than my original press.
Maybe all those with issues should recheck their cartridge alignment. -
I picked up my EU copy about a year ago and the pressing is quiet and dynamic as can be for a single disc. The remaster definitely brings out instruments and nuances I hadn’t heard as well defined (if at all!) on my original Canadian pressing. Very happy with these 2016 Phil Collins reissues. All pressings I’ve had have been stellar and problem free.

The sound is great but poor production - very loud, terrible clicks! VERY NOISY,
I can't listen to this album -
Atlantic missed on opportunity here. This album was always a bit long to be put onto a single disk. This should have received the double-disk treatment that they gave to the "But Seriously" re-issue.

Avoid the EU pressing. full of noise, ticks. The recording otherwise is excellent but production is bad.
