I've now listened to the first three of these, and they are all fantastic. What's most striking, and the one thing others do not seem to have mentioned, is the dynamic range. Putting the album across four sides would allow for that. This is most noticeable in "Family Snapshot". The closing part, with the little boy, is so quiet it's almost inaudible.

just wanted to add another voice here. this reissue is sublime. i've got a very clean US pressing from 1980 that i always *thought* was amazing so i bought this yesterday with reluctant curiosity. got it home and quickly realized this one is a stunner. would that all reissues sounded as good as this. the dynamics, separation, detail, clarity, and soundstage are positively hair-raising. if you see this in a shop, do not hesitate to grab it.

What could be better than 2x45 180gram vinyl that sounds incredible. Plus a card for cd or hi res quality. I was listening to this the other day and it just crushes it. Of course the system is what matters also. That being said this pressing is def a way to test out your system.IMO.

I have this album signed by the man himself. This is one of my top favourite PG albums. I saw him at the first concert in TO as a solo artist. It was amazing!
This album beats my previous versions by far. Excellent!

Phenomenal quality and sound on this. Definitely a great pressing!

My favorite ever vinyl reissue. The separation is incredible, still woven expertly into the songs you already know.

              Seriously, this is a pinnacle.

The quality control issues with this series continue. I initially received a sealed copy with the first disk present and correct but with an empty inner sleeve but no second disk. Sounds great though.

Additionally, this recording has very little dynamic range compression (0.1 as measured by DRC-Meter).

These limited edition, numbered, 45 rpm half-speed master editions are awesome. They are whisper quiet and have a very strong signal (+1.5 dB on my scale). They also come with a free digital and you can select 24-bit, 48 kHz hi-resolution versions. In addition the LPs come in beautiful gatefold jackets (even if the original album was not gatefold). They are produced directly by Peter Gabriel’s company and so they are done right. These albums are my most prized and loved possessions.

I am a huge Peter Gabriel fan and had to get them all. Peter Gabriel 3 (Melt) is one of my favorite Peter Gabriel albums. I am drawn to its darker, creepy themes. “Games without Frontiers” is one of my all-time favorite Peter Gabriel tracks! As with all the others the production and mastering on this version is precisely perfect—a joy to listen to.

Like my version of Security of the same series, this is a very very good pressing. It is dead quiet and has absolutely no pops and clicks in the slightest. I cannot recommend this version enough.
