Amazing album to start with, this 180g beast of a repressing is so warm and smooth. Such a well done pressing. I wish all my albums were pressed this well.

Like others have commented, a quality pressing; quiet, flat, dynamic. Very clean straight out of the sleeve. The sound is warm with a more realistic rendering of the quieter instrumentation ages.
-
Great pressing. My side A has a little bit of clicking in the left channel with headphones, especially on the first song. Side B is clean. But overall a very excellent pressing.

Sounds amazing. Nice balance of mids/highs/lows. Little if any surface noise. Great value for the price. Very happy with this pressing. I do pick up some prominent sibilance on the quieter vocal pieces but I’m willing to bet that it’s due to my ortofon 2m red. I plan on upgrading to blue later this year and I’m willing to bet that will solve for this.

Where is this pressed at? I'm usually able to identify deadwax, but can't place this one.
It's a good one though.
I'm also wondering if it's half speed cut. Miles Showell, at least these days at Abbey Road, seems to cut lacqueurs exclusively at half speed. Either way, his work is among the great names in the business. -
Edited 7 years agoWTF! This is a great sounding record! How did they make this sound so rad! I love Parlophone when it comes to reissues, they make sure the pressing quality is above par just like the recent Bowie reissues or any of the Blur reissues, never have any defects and come in polylined sleeves so the vinyl is super clean. A+ on the sound too, don't own an original but I can't imagine it sounding better than this. The fullness and prescence they managed to add to this electronic music is amazing. Never gets muddy and is very detailed. High definition sound coming from every direction. Some of the music even takes on a rich analog sound like early Depeche Mode releases. Have to give this reissue 10/10

My copy matches this listing in of jacket, hype sticker, inside plain poly-lined sleeve and inner picture sleeve. However, there is no center label matrix/runout and there is no reference to SOURCE anywhere. The matrix/run-out on mine ONLY references MILES MASTERPIECE and the V 2848 A-01-01 and B-01-01 (as reflected the 2015 pressing entry here). However my copy is definitely not the 2015 pressing listed in here either as the jacket is entirely different from that one and it contains all attributes of the 2017 pressing.
