The last really great Aphex release for me. Neotekt72 is a highlight. If you like the Tuss and Analord you’ll like these cuts. Nice pressing too.

such an awesome release from richard! bonus emt beats is such a banger ❤️❤️my only complaint is that my copy skips once on A1, but its only within the first 8 seconds, so its okay -
Edited 2 years agoMy copy has the glossy effect of the letters on the cover inverted: if you look at it under light the reflective part spells "DEEJAY SELEK" where the printed image spells "ORPHANED 2006-08" and vice versa, is this a misprint or are all the copies like this?

Edited 6 years agoI think this a very interesting sound by RDJ........................a reflection on the good old daze.. -
Solid tracks. Solid AFX release. Comparable to a lot of previous AFX releases. If you aren't into RDJ's AFX releases, you probably won't be into this. If you are into the AFX project, this is on par with those and you will probably be into it.
If you are listening to lossy versions, you're missing it. Solid mastering and sound design, the sound textures and shapes are phenomenal. Same as the Cheetah EP, if you can't hear the textures you're missing it. Vinyl or lossless, no joke.
My copy is warped and off center, and can hear it a bit but nothing to meltdown about. -
This EP is an interesting offering from Richard David James and is a lot of fun to listen to, especially on my system (Pro-Ject 2Xperience SB, Ortofon Cadenza Blue). My copy is a bit warped but fortunately it does not affect its playability. I agree that “Oberheim Blacet1b” is a great track. I enjoy just about everything this unique artist puts out. I gave it five stars! -
