blackbyrds had several main stay hits back in the day, but never received the kind of commercial success with this stellar lp deserved. the entire lp with its george duke production rocked, but the slick n funky stand outs for me are, Lonely for your love, without your love, don't know what to say which sound very 80's kool and the gang, the sultry Do it girl, and the bangin title traact, Better days. still many will find other as their jams here. don't sleep!

This album alongside TS Monk, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Willie Beaver Hale, Stephanie Mill & Carl Carlton were all for me classic albums. 1980 bought forward alot of very well produced and put together sets, and probably one of the many reasons why I converted from Reggae to Soul. Plus some of the clubs/parties started commanded more soul, plus no one wanted to be playing to a room full of men..Lol!
