I won a copy of this album from my local radio station back in 96'. I was pumped, but was into CDs at the time. Traded it for $20 store credit at the used cd store. Still kicking myself.

Kick ass pressing of Soundgarden’s last thoroughly killer record. The sound is surprising to say the least. Tunes jump right off of this one, and it just gets better as you listen on a better system. This somewhat flimsy (typical of the time) 90’s era vinyl will not disappoint.

Edited 7 months agoThis pressing sounds fucking phenomenal. I'm blessed to own this. Don't care if it was mastered from a CD. Incredible separation and dynamics to it with some massive punch to it.
-
Edited one month agoWeird that even though it's supposedly cut from 44/16 files, it has more punch, bite, and life to it than the 2016 reissue

I received this as a consolation prize for Ticketmaster overselling the venue in Houston on this tour - I was stopped at the door with ticket in hand and not allowed in (never happened to me before or since) - I still have my promo copy of this, but would have rather seen the show - on the upside, it sounds great

I tripped over this in a record store in 1997 and thought, "huh, Soundgarden's newest album on vinyl in this day. I should buy that." I did, and it's the only Soundgarden album I have on vinyl. Great packaging and just sounds good. Glad I went for that impulse purchase.

A definite improvement over the CD but not as nice as the best rock vinyl mastering's. If you like this album then listening to it on vinyl is the only way to go. Soundgardens 90's swansong sadly.
