Edited 10 months agoAgree with other reviewers here - this is a very solid pressing, with strong dynamics. It’s important to that the sound quality of Joel’s later material - Glass Houses onwards, is nowhere as good as his earlier albums. Disc 1 outshines Disc 2 by a considerable margin. Artwork is sturdy and the additional 16 page booklet looks fantastic. -
Edited 2 years agoThis Japanese pressing version is well mastered with excellent vocal, wide soundstage and lively with punchy bass and sweet high frequency delay! Love the idea of inclusion of “Honesty” as this was badly missed with the other variants. A good comprehensive collection of Billy Joel’s music and the recording is indeed very musical! -
This Japanese release sounds great. The sound is wide open, the instruments are clear and sharp. I haven't listened to any other pressings to compare but this album really comes to life, so I'd definitely recommend it as a good investment.
