After giving the album a thorough cleaning with an ultrasonic machine, the sound quality is truly remarkable. It's incredibly quiet, with no unwanted noise or static—just pure, crisp audio. The way it captures that signature 80s sound is absolutely perfect, evoking nostalgia while sounding fresh and flawless. Honestly, it doesn’t get any better than this—every note, every beat is clearer and more vibrant, making the listening experience feel as if it’s right from the original era, but with a modern touch of clarity.

This is an excellent, excellent pressing. I have the Japanese copy a-ha - Hunting High And Low = ハンティング・ハイ・アンド・ロウ as well, and this is not far behind. The Japanese version has a little more synth shimmer and drum depth. It is a bit brighter overall as well. Unless you are a die hard A-ha connoisseur or hardcore 80's new-wave synth-o-file, this copy is much easier to find in the USA and would not hesitate to purchase. I was very surprised because out of all of the Japanese-US duplicates that I own, this US pressing is closest to its Japanese counterpart.

It’s kinda hard to top this pressing. Large soundstage and handles the vocals so well. No distortion here, it’s a nice, silent and flat record. It sounds so good!

Wasn't expecting much, but this sounds absolutely fantastic! Great punchy sound, everything pops in just the right ways. Incredibly cheap secondhand too!

A seminal album from the "80's (New Wave)" era.
Every single song on this album is excellent.
It's a shame that (in the US), they (like Thomas Dolby, Men Without Hats, the The or even Yello) are unfairly considered a one-hit wonder; only really known for "Take On Me" (and to a lesser extent "The Sun Always Shines On T.V."). While those songs are great songs, I would dare say that "Hunting High and Low", "The Blue Sky" and "Living a Boy's Adventure Tale" are equals, if not better.
I still play this album 30 years after I bought it on cassette(!), originally.
