Clear sticker on sleeve reads: "The Residents' Santa Dog. First-time vinyl reissue of landmark double 7" debut from 1972. Originally only 400 copies given away to friends. SV072".
Pre-ordered bundles (with Residue Of The Residents) included an additional Superior Viaduct promo poster (appr. 35 x 50 cm) with coloured Santa Dog artwork on front, and SV catalog and release info on back.
The official release date (street date for stores) provided by the label and the distributor is May 6th, 2014. However some pre-release copies were sent out to customers a few days earlier.
The labels are misprinted in regards to the running order; the original release was autocoupled. It should, in order, play sides A, C, D, B as labeled.
Some copies with Barcode on sticker.

It is my learned and quite well-seasoned opinion that The Residents `Santa Dog', may well be one of the most profoundly near-perfect, astonishingly beautiful and uniquely constructed recordings of modern music ever heard. I defy ANYBODY to refute, dispel or positively disprove my findings and claims with regards to this practically holy relic of a 7'' vinyl recording. I stand firmly in place with `Santa Dog'! -
Oh the days when i was obsessed with finding just who the fab 4 were, Turns out they were, Phil Perkins, Tom Timony, Eric Drew Feldmen, Josh R Brody...............or so iv´e been told. -
I didn't open this for almost a year, and when finally got around to playing it, both records were the first 7" Fire/Aircraft Damage. Gah! -
An essential purchase for those Residents fanatics who dreamed of owning the original! You can squint your eyes and pretend it's the real thing!
