Edited 5 months agoI wouldn’t say this beats an AB, it’s still a respectable pressing considering the lack of consistency in color variants. This one sounds solid, and carries very well. The channel switch does make it sound different but still a good pressing. -

Edited 5 years agoI was pleasantly surprised with the great sound quality on this red disc because I previously had the yellow one and it was pretty low-fi.
Not sure what the did differently but this one sounds fantastic!

If you are going to buy this masterpiece of an album, be sure you get the ABC release with its heavyweight vinyl and high-gloss, gatefold jacket. The MCA release is a disappointment. But if you're really feeling frisky, I guess you can go big with the beautiful clear red vinyl. I very well might...
