Too bright! The hi-hat especially is like getting stabbed in the ear with scissors.
(Rega RP6 with Ortofon Black Lvb250 cart through McIntosh MA5200 amp & Axiom M60 v2 speakers.) -
I bought a sealed copy of Give 'em Some Rope and found this pressing of the st album inside instead of the correct one.
-
Picked up a sealed copy and found the record to be bowl-shaped with some light scuffs from movement in the paper sleeve. Also picking up some pops and clicks and crackle in places. One of more noisy new records I’ve purchased. Overall still pleased with it. Essential album.

Edited 2 years agoThese guys pretty much started it all. What a great early punk release from the Clash.
This reissue has quiet vinyl and sounds pretty clean if a little on the dark side, EQ-wise. 3.5 stars. Recommended. -
This version sounds so good. It is well balanced and worth a pickup. I played my other copy to death so it's nice to have a non worn copy to love to death again.
