Notes
Counterfeit replica of the 2nd pressing crediting A7 on the label to "P.D. arr. Lennon; McCartney; Harrison; Starkey"
Gatefold cover
Red Apple label
No identifiable press or master scribings exist in the runouts such as etched "-◁", stamped "IAM" (in a triangle), "0" or "Bell Sound"
Common counterfeit signs which may appear on this reproduction:
- Etched "IAM in triangle" in the runout, official is machine stamped.
- Etched "Bell Sound" in the runout, official is machine stamped
- Matrices in runout are not as defined as in the official releases making them more difficult to read
- Labels have only one large concentric pressing ring. Smaller Capitol ring is merely part of the image taken from original label.
- Labels are slightly dull and a little washed out
- Front cover: white borders around the photographs are thicker than official gatefold.
- Artist photographs show 'washed-out' complexions. This is most apparent on Harrison's

We played the Original release against the counterfeit copy we have at the store, spinning on (2) ATLP40 decks with Ortofon Concorde Club cartridges on both decks, going through a 2 channel mixer into a Yamaha amplifier outputting to Axiom MP5 Speakers.
The differences we heard:
Drums on the counterfeit copy are flat and lifeless, almost transparent. The mix is darker than the original pressing, quieter overall with some loud spots.
Overall the counterfeit record played much like the album art, faded and looking like a couple of generations lost in the audio. -
