Strange pressing. On my copy, side 1, which is stamped, sounds pretty decent, one of the best Battle Of Evermores I've heard on LP, and Stairway doesn't suffer towards the end like it does on so many LP pressings, only gripe is that Battle and Stairway are actually mastered/cut slightly slower than normal. Unfortunately for me, side 2, which is etched, falls completely flat, and is dreadful sounding. It sounds like the album is playing off a telephone. No depth, grainy sounding, can barely even hear Bonham. Generally, club cuts tend to be hit or miss, this seems to be both.

3 star for the noise, but 5 star for the mastering… Led Zeppelin is a give some lose some on their music.

I prefer this over all of the digital remasters
