Edited 2 years agoI agree with previous comments, this is the pressing to own! This basically smokes my CD version in of dynamics. Just listen to the bass and the kick drum, so punchy, smooth and warm. I also agree that you hear more details here, because there is more room to breathe for every instrument. And to top it all off the pressing itself is super quiet, almost no surface noise at all, without even giving it a single wet clean in 18 years! If only new pressings nowadays could be like that...

Has anyone compared this to the "smoke colored" MOV pressing? Interested in a sound comparison.

The definitive pressing of GR. Rich in dynamics, clarity, head room. Drums are incredibly crisp, snappy and detailed and Mikael's vocals have so much presence, character and purity. Uncompressed studio perfection.
Sure, you could use the MOV version as a decent play version. But this is the audiophile reference edition. Lacquer cut by Ray Janos, this exemplfies the craftmanship of his mastering work. -
