Reviews
-
A great treasure trove of a box set! The demos being a strong highlight and the ephemera is superb! The only downside for me are the hinges of the box, which break quite easily if improperly stored.
-
I've been seeing a lot of these box sets coming out of China recently. They are all sealed and have a French language hype sticker on the cover, and Made in the EU on the back. I'm very tempted but I know from experience that a lot of these counterfeit box sets have lots of typos and other quality issues. Does anyone have one and can speak to the quality?

Edited 10 years agoA MASTERPIECE REISSUED
I first listened to SP through MCTIS album and so I was really curious for the reissue.
The pros:
A really nice big box (exactly as a box set should be) with a huge lyric booklet, perfectly made and another one with the story behind the album that reveals really interesting information. It contains tons of extra gems and a live concert. Also a couple of decoupage cards to play or to keep ;)
The cons:
I was expecting a better work with the main booklet. Although there were 3 extra CD's with unreleased, re-edited or re-imagined songs, only one holds what's worth of it. You won't listen to the other two discs over 2-3 times. I guess they were keeping tracks for The Aeroplane flies High reissue or whatever. The DVD concert was boring and didn't really meet my expectations. I don't feel like watching it again.
Overall it's for every collector and of course SP fan out there, who loved Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness album.
