Does anyone have the version exactly as picture? This means it does NOT have “Slipknot” printed/written on the front cover. It also ha the song Me Inside on it and NOT Purity.
*IF YOU DO HAVE A COPY PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
I WILL BUY IT FOR A GOOD PRICE!!!!$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ -
This seems to be my exact copy (Matrix match), but it has a "This Is An I Am Recording!" label denomination. It can't be release 6953543, because there's no Warner logo. Is this release (402105) missing the "This Is An I Am Recording!" info?

Has the limited edition with Get This and the demos ever been really limited? It doesn't look any rare...

When this self-titled album came up Slipknot was one of the most interesting acts in Nu Metal genre at the time. Bands image surely helped them to get more recognizable and let's face it - the crazy image (masks, costumes numbers, etc.) has become Slipknots trademark. There were many crazy rumors about this band because they were so mysterious. Undoubtedly it was all a part of the show but a pretty good show and it helped Slipknot to distinct from other bands at the time. Image played a big role in bands popularity but of course it would be wrong to say that the music didn't. Compared to other popular Nu Metal acts back then Slipknot had more aggressive heavy sound and that's what people liked about them. This was a really good start for the band. Musically and imagery they did a perfect job and it is a result of the popularity they have reached. And even if it's not exactly 'the start' the main story of Slipknot begins from this album, not from 'Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat.'
