When are they gonna finally rerelease this on vinyl?! Anyone have any kind of answer? Should get blabbermouth.net to ask since they seem to ask Corey a question a day lol.

When Slipknot started out, they produced styles like groove metal and funk. With their debut album, Slipknot became pioneers to the nu metal genre, and with Iowa, Slipknot produced their heaviest, harshest, and most violent sound ever. The album begins with the song "(515)", a full minute of the horrific screams that come from a demented childhood. "People=Shit", a song that should have been released as a single, sends a cold feeling down your spine that will make anyone want to just go insane. "Disasterpiece" is about the childhood of vocalist Corey Taylor, and the song's structure begins with distorted feed back that cycles for 35 seconds. "My Plague", "Everything Ends", and "The Heretic Anthem" are three songs that never get old, and "Gently", the oldest song on the album (dating back to Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat.) gives that depressing/chilling feeling for nearly two and a half minutes, leading into the screams of agony from hell. "Left Behind" is another song about Taylor's childhood, leading into "The Shape" with its extreme refrain. "Skin Ticket" brings out the natural side of Slipknot. "Metabolic" has the most hate and tri-tones in it, and the final track, "Iowa" is the scariest, creepiest, and freakiest masterpiece ever released by Slipknot. A definite recommendation for anyone dreading over their existence, as well as anyone else's life.
