Something went hideously wrong with my pressing of Book Burner.
The deep blue vinyls themselves look great with an Awesome etching on the second LP.
Side A plays fine. Side B the audio begins to slowly degrade very early on.
The Clarity of the music distorts and degrades more and more with static fuzz every minute until by the time you get to 'Permanent Funeral' it sounds as if my speakers have been filled with marshmallows. The album becomes so muffled it's almost unlistenable.
Also Track B2 (The Bug) has the opening 30 seconds inexplicably removed. The record as a whole (On This vinyl, Not in general) sounds weak and thin. Other reviews here cite the "beer splatter" version as sounding good, So i guess you should look for that one. Or just get the CD. Also, Permanent Funeral fades out on the CD version, but on the vinyl it has a proper end.
I will hang on to this purely for aesthetic value. The Punk covers Lp sounds fine too.
