The track listing on the sleeve does not correspond to the track sequence on the vinyl.
'Heyday' is A.6, 'Jeopardy' is B.1 etc.
The labels on the vinyl are laid out terribly, and repeat the incorrect track sequencing.

Got a recently repressed version and it don’t sound bad. Really nice bass definition, drums that hit, dynamic vocals, good separation. An overall enjoyable listen. Not having this on vinyl, I’m pretty happy with the way this sounds. I wouldn’t say it sounds bad, actually a very, very decent reNdering. Maybe my system brings out the best of what this pressing has to offer but it is clear and defined in every way and the music sounds pure, bold and energetic. If you see a copy at retail definitely grab it because this thing is probably already out-of-print again. That’s just the current state we’re in with this out of whack vinyl industry currently. I’m sure it will be repressed again but it’s taking longer and longer now until we see these things. My pressing is flawless too. Flat, centered and dead quiet with not a click or pop to be detected.

This does sound surprisingly good, especially since 1972 doesn't have the best reputation going. The only downside is the typical issues associated with records pressed by Rainbo - in this case, random patches of non-fill on Side B.

Will chime in: I have never heard an original vinyl pressing.
With that being said, these were repressed (probably recently) and my copy is not off-centered. I can't vouch for the mastering, though every other digital version I've heard confirmed its low budget production status. Could it sound better? Possibly. I do trust some of the s who posted below as they've been fairly consistent in other reviews. This is however listenable and enjoyable if you haven't been exposed to an earlier pressing. -
This sounds fine to me for an album that never sounded that great in the first place. Which is a shame because the songs are excellent.

Missiles sounds fine or at least the same as it does on the Renascent CD reissue. Renascent liner notes state that the LP was recorded for £800.

Edited 3 years ago[2019] Not a great pressing. Off-center, Missiles sounds weird, track 6 is on wrong side.
[Update 2022: I finally got my hands on an VG 1980 press. It's a pretty grungy recording overall and the remasters are mostly OK but Missiles sounds a lot better and less muffled on the original] -
the most glaring issue is the obviously varying sources used for different tracks. i could swear 'missiles' is sourced from a low bitrate mp3.

Seek out the 1st press from New Zealand or the U.K. both far superior in soundstage and overall pressing quality
